Great lake, Great fishing, Great people
I have been going there every year for the last ten years and it never gets old. I have a clicker in my boat and I average 50+ fish a day per person in the boat. And thats with stopping for shore lunch. There are alot of fish in the 18-23" range. Plenty of northern, i have caught up to 43. Lakers for sure if thats your thing.

If you are even thinking about it, just book it!
Although we haven't been able to get up to see Scott & Mary Jo for a couple years (kids, life, etc) this place is the nicest we ever stayed at in Ontario. We made an annual trip here for years because of the quality of cabins, boats, equipment and hosts. Scott & Maty Jo are more than willing to help you out with the fishing hot spots. Take their advice, they want you to catch fish! Like an earlier post says, take your camera with you everywhere, especially for the awesome sunsets. This is truly the best of both worlds - the best fishing and accomodations while still being able to drive directly to your cabin door.

Whats not to like about forrest lodge.
We first came to forrest lodge in 1995.We have enjoyed the resort and the lake every spring or fall since then.Scott and maryjo take great pride in the cleanliness and maintanence of the cabins. Not just the cabins but the entire property. The boats are first class. The price of lodging and boat is the lowest i"ve seen on the internet, and those pictures on there website are the real thing.Big fish, little fish, lots of fish, they"re always biting somewhere.Follow the map they give you, use some common sense, you"ll do just fine.we"ve seen bears, caribou, moose, the fox right at the resort. One nice perk is you drive right to your cabin. The other resorts on the lake you boat to, leaving your vehicle at the public launch and you in your overloaded boat.I could go on all night.I wont.It really is as nice as everybody says.

The end of the road
We have traveled to Caribou Lake - Forrest Lodge five times, and plan on an annual return indefinitely. Cabins, boats, motors, Scott & Mary Jo are the best. The lake is huge, good places to fish without hardly seeing anyone else all day plentiful. Walleyes dominate, while Northern's typically run deep with the walleyes, and lake trout convenient to the lodge if you target them. Mary Jo will smoke trout for you and does an awesome job. A welcome perk at Forrest Lodge is the once a week "Lodge Fry" hosted by Scott & Mary Jo with an opportunity to visit with other guests in residence.

Forrest Lodge
I have been going to Caribou lake for 10 years every fall for moose hunting/fishing. Forrest Lodge owners Mary Jo and Scott run a first class operation. Very clean, well kept cabins and property. Boats and motors are in great condition. Fishing is unbelievable. Moose are plentiful. Scott always knows the best places to drop a line. Ice, minnows, worms ,gas, freezers, anything you need for a great trip is all there. You will not regret staying at Forrest Lodge.

8 years now
I have been visiting forrest lodge now for at least 8 years every fall. I have always been welcomed warmly and found the place to be clean and well kept. Scott & MaryJo have always been good company and open with the hot spots. The fishing is super good, scenery is tremendous and the wild life diverse. I highly recomend this location.

Fishing trip to Forrest Lodge
In July 2013 we did a 5 day fishing trip to to Caribou Lake and stayed at Forrest Lodge. The fishing was great and our accommodations great. Clean cabins with hot showers and 24 hour electricity. A well equipped kitchen made it easy to have good fresh fish meals. They have a fish cleaning house and a freezer to freeze fish for take home. The owners do a great job of providing everything you need for a memorable fishing experience. Caribou Lake is very large with many opportunity to observe wild life. I enjoy hearing the Loons. Be sure to take a camera as sunsets can be pretty spectacular and you never know what animals you may see.
